We've been married for 9 years, and we've been talking about adoption since our first date! We're pretty different people but we are great at balancing each other out. Rachel is more of a laid-back creative type, while Britt is organized, focused and "gets the job done" every time. We're both constantly learning about parenting, whether by discussing ideas at night, reading parent books, talking to other parent friends, or just figuring it out as we go along. It's been a great adventure so far and we're really excited to meet our little one!
Avi- age 8
She is our first born, sweet "biggest" sister. She is such a great helper at home whether she's reading to her younger siblings or helping in the kitchen. She loves to hold babies and help little ones get around. Like her mom as a child, Avi spends a lot of her time reading books, or drawing pictures. One of her exciting accomplishments this year in school was learning how to write in cursive!
Ryan- age 6
Ryan is another great helper! She can't stay away if she spots a baby in need of entertainment. She also loves to help around the house; it's not surprising to walk into a room and find her sweeping and talking about how she is going to make sure the whole first floor is nice and clean. Ryan is also one of the first to volunteer to help in the kitchen. She loves to stir together muffins or measure out flour with me. She's my little chef!
Azia- age 4
Azia is our busiest girl, she has always had quite an adventurous and fearless spirit. Now that she's 4, she has discovered a love for drawing, "farkles" (sparkles), anything "pretty", and reading books!
Israel- age 2
Israel loves to follow his sister Azia into any adventure she finds for them. Sometimes it's helping mommy make dinner and sometimes it's eating all of the grapes in the refrigerator. His favorite things are trains, curious george, and babies!
